Keeping Your Skin Young and Healthy – For Women at Work

Having a busy schedule of 9 to 5? Along with things to think over like what am I going to wear today? What do I need to do to make myself look fresh and fine?

It’s a fact that even if you get well-dressed for your workplace but you do not take enough care of your skin, your good impression can be turned into a not-so-good one. Just as you keep yourself readily updated for your wardrobe but don’t forget that your skin is the most visible expression of your beauty.

Apart from the busy schedule, taking out some time to make your skin look fresh, healthy and glowing is necessary and following are the tips that would help women who stay out for work

  • Keeping yourself protected from sun. Protecting yourself from the heat of the sun is necessary as too much exposure will cause damage your dewy and supple skin. To keep away from this damage it would be advisable for working women to use sunscreens. Apply the sunscreen twenty minutes before you leave.Keeping yourself still in style try wearing clothes with long sleeves, denims or skinnies (any tight woven fabric would be a better option).
  • Must have heard about beauty sleep? A tough routine and stress can lead to breakouts and thus sleep deprivation. Having enough and quality sleep is essential for a fresh and glowing skin or else lack of sleep can make you depressed and anxious. This viscous cycle of poor sleep will not affect your work quality but will be a great factor to affect your health as well.
  • Applying makeup is a part of daily routine for working women. And to remove it is too! Not removing the dirt and make up can cause dryness to your skin and even clog your pores so cleanse your skin before sleeping but take care of the sensitive area around your eyes. Maintaining your natural moisturizing levels by using moisturizers so that your skin does not gets dried or look dull. If done at night, it will let your skin wrinkle-free. The most important thing to keep in mind here is never forget moisturizing your neck and décolletage.
  • If you have a sensitive skin or you are allergic to any such thing that causes irritation, natural and organic products are an option to go for. Fragrance is something most people are allergic to and in that case you should always use fragrance-free products.
  • The brushes and sponges can easily collect dirt and germs inside them. Wash them regularly with lukewarm water and pat dry. Not keeping them clean will also cause breakouts and acne.
  • Exfoliating your skin is necessary once a week. If you find your skin dry and flaky, exfoliating it will help you keep it clean dead cells. According to Amiry “Pores appear larger when they’re filled with dirt, oil, dead skin cells, and keratin, a protein that lives on the surface of skin, remove those plugs, and they seem to shrink.”
  • Water is the biggest source to clean and refresh your skin. It will flush out all the toxins out of your body making your skin glow even before. Alcoholic beverages should always be avoided as they dehydrate your skin. So if you wish to keep your skin young and healthy, avoid them and rather have non-caffeinated brews and beverages.
